NBC has announced it is not renewing the hit series “The Walking, Dead,” as the network struggles to find a buyer for its cable-TV network.
The announcement comes just one day after AMC announced it was selling the AMC franchise for $1 billion.
The ratings for “The Walk” dropped significantly during its first season, as viewers opted to binge watch instead of watch a series they actually enjoyed, the network said.
The show’s ratings plunged significantly during the second season, and ratings for its third season were also down.
The series has been renewed for two more seasons, and it will be available to stream on Netflix in the fall.
