‘Deadpool’ Movie Review: What We Know So Far

Broken Arrow, The Chainsmokers and more headline the official release of Deadpool 2.

The sequel to the 2015 superhero actioner is expected to debut on May 5, 2019.

This is the second Deadpool film to arrive on the big screen, and we know it.

While we’ve seen glimpses of the film, the rest of the picture has been largely unknown.

With so many details still to be revealed, we’re going to have to wait and see just how well the sequel lives up to the first.

But we have some information to share right now, including the fact that the film is expected be a superhero epic.

Deadpool 2 will be directed by Tim Miller and stars Ryan Reynolds, Jacob Batalon, Brie Larson, Gina Carano, Charlie Cox, Zazie Beetz, Ed Skrein, Michael Peña, Michael Cera, Rafe Spall, Laura Harrier, Elizabeth Olsen and Ed Skreta.

In addition, this film will be the first Deadpool film starring James Franco.

We’ll have to find out how much of the sequel is faithful to the comic book series that spawned the character, and whether the studio will follow the comic in its first two movies.

Deadpool 2 will reportedly be released in 2018.

Deadpool is set to open on May 10, 2019, followed by the sequel, which will be released on May 12, 2019 and the third film in the franchise.
